11 / Male / Homosexual/ Jerry Beans Man
<< PERSONALITY »
Dillon isn’t exactly the nicest kid in the world, in fact it would not be inaccurate to call him downright ornery. He tends to be defensive and abrasive, but also rather precocious for his age. He is a rather smart kid, he just doesn’t do very well with people, especially kids his own age. He’s not a bully, but he does pick fights often, usually leaving both him and the other kid with a bloody nose. His standoffish attitude hasn’t earned him many friends, and while he will never admit it, he tends to be a bit lonely.
However, underneath it all, Dillon is a kid with a lot of passion for everything he does, especially Duel Monsters. He takes the game extremely seriously and gets annoyed by people who don’t do the same. That being said, he’s not a sore loser and will happily accept defeat from a worthy opponent. Likewise, he doesn’t gloat in victory, though he can be very blunt when telling people why they lost to him. The few friends he does have he earned through the game, and to them he is still his normal, grumpy self, but he’s also protective and loyal. In spite of the grown-up image he likes to present, he does have a number of childish aspects to him, most obviously his deep and abiding love for anything to do with dragons, which is his favorite type of monster to build a deck around. Moreover, though he’d punch anyone who pointed it out in the jaw, he is a total mama’s boy, and she is one of the very few people who can reign him in.

<< HISTORY »
Dillon grew up with a single mother, his father out of the picture before he was even born. His mom loved her son dearly and tried to be attentive, but she had to work to feed two, so he found himself having to learn how to do a lot of things kids his age wouldn’t normally have to. He’s far from self-sufficient at the ripe old age of eleven, but he knows how to feed himself at night. He had a lot of lonely evenings, but he liked it that way… at least that was what he told himself. He found himself closing off from other kids, taking out his frustration on them and without any friends. His mother, far from oblivious, tried her best to find a way to get him involved with others. Sports, clubs, none of it worked, until he finally asked for something: A Duel Monsters structure deck and duel disk.
The first she could provide, the latter not so much, given their limited budget. But that was enough for him, and the once closed-off boy started to actively engage with his peers. Granted, he took the game a bit more seriously than what some might deem healthy, but gradually he mellowed, if only a bit. The few friends he does have, he gained through duel monsters, and he developed a love for the game rivalling even the most passionate player. However, his mother could still never afford to get him a duel disk, and he could only watch in jealousy as other duelists brought their monsters to life before their eyes.
That is, until Duel World. An entire world built on duel monsters, and more importantly, affordable to him. He jumped at the first chance to sign up, excited to see his beloved cards in full color… until he found out that he’d need to start from scratch with a new deck once he got inside. Still, it would only be a matter of time before the boy put together a deck he’d be proud of, and stood at the top of the duel world!
